Eugenia Mitrakas OAM

Eugenia Mitrakas is a senior Melbourne Notary who has served on the Committee of the Society of Notaries in Victoria for more than 15 years. Eugenia also served as President of the Society for two terms of one year. She is the first woman to have held these positions.

Notary Melbourne’s Eugenia Mitrakas is the principal of the firm IKRP Eugenia Mitrakas and Co. Notary Melbourne She practices in Commercial Law, Property Law, Litigation and Greek Law.

Eugenia served on the Council of the Law Institute of Victoria for nine years.

Eugenia served on numerous committees of the Law Institute of Victoria and chaired the Admission to Practice Committee, Court Interpreter Services Committee and the Liquor Law Committee. She served on the Board of Examiners for nine years and served as Chairman of the Board of Examiners for one year. She was the first woman in Victoria to serve on the Board of Examiners.

Eugenia initiated and chaired over a period of 30 years the Legal and Medical Conferences held in Greece.

More recently, she has served on the Board of the Victoria Law Foundation and chaired the Grants Section of the Foundation.

Eugenia is admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales and practices extensively in European Law particularly Greek Law.
